The Rev. Michele K. Clark was appointed Pastor to North Fenton United Methodist Church effective July 1, 2017, at the 2017 Annual Conference of the Upper New York Conference by Bishop Mark Webb.
Pastor Michele holds a M. Div. (2011) from Duke Divinity School of Durham, NC and a Bachelor of Science (2007) in Religion from Mt. Olive College (now The University of Mt. Olive).
Pastor Michele served pastorates at Faison United Methodist Church, Faison, NC from 2007-2011, Eureka United Methodist Church, Eureka, NC from 2011-2015, and Salem United Methodist, Goldsboro, NC from 2015-2017 all in the North Carolina Annual Conference.
Pastor Michele has served on the Capital District Committee on Ordained Ministry, Capital District Spiritual Formation Team, Residency in Ordained Ministry Team Leader, Capital District Building and Location Committee, and completed the two-year Fellows Program through the Academy for Leadership Excellence in Raleigh, NC.
Pastor Michele was elected at the 2018 Upper New York Annual Conference to serve on the Binghamton District Committee on Ordained Ministry. In 2020, the journey to permanent residence in the UNYUMC Annual Conference was completed.
Pastor Michele is a native of Gloversville, NY, and is married to Bob who is appointed to First Chenango Bridge United Methodist Church. They have three children, Jason Dunham (Tachana and Nadia), Courtney Yerry (Mitch, Grayson and Emelia), and Dan Clark (Carrie, Caden, and Colton).
Pastor Michele has a great love for Jesus Christ and for outreach ministries, spiritual formation, and ministry with the aging. Other interests include grandchildren, church and community, golfing, fishing, kayaking, reading, and meeting people.
Karen has had a passion for music and playing the piano since she was a young girl. She began playing at Stony Point Methodist Church at the age of 10 and still plays today. Karen and her gift has been with North Fenton UMC for many years now and we are all blessed to listen to her play every Sunday.
